Bangkok Shopping Area Hotels

The Siam Square shopping area is home to a wide range of hotels, among them some of Bangkok's best five star accommodations. Our personal favorite is the Pathumwan Princess, which sits atop the Mahbookrong ("MBK") shopping center. It's not just the location that make it a good pick. The hotel just finished a complete make-over of the public areas, and is home to what may well be Bangkok's best health club, featuring all the equipment you could want, two aerobics studios, tennis courts, squash courts and Bangkok's only salt water swimming pool.

Arnoma Hotel

Comfortable tourist class hotel. Generally a good value for money, especially given the location.

Centara Grand at Central World Hotel

One of the newest hotels in the area, this huge hotel sits atop the Central World shopping center.

Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok Hotel

Although getting up there in age, this top-level member of the international chain is constantly keeping itself fresh.

Novotel Bangkok On Siam Square Hotel

One of many members of this tourist-class chain around Bangkok, this location offers good value for money.

Pathumwan Princess Hotel

Another great value-for-money hotel atop the famous (or perhaps infamous) MBK shopping mall. The hotel offers a huge health club with salt water pool in addition to all the other usual amenities.

Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok

Very new and very posh hotel that lives up to every bit of the Kempinski reputation.
